Day 1 Departure

Today you will depart for Malaysia.
A new adventure is just around the corner! You will travel to multi-faceted Malaysia, where modern cities, ancient traditions and impressive nature blend seamlessly.

Day 2 Arrival Kuala Lumpur

Arrival in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia's bustling metropolis
After arriving at Kuala Lumpur airport, which is about an hour outside the city center, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city.

Depending on your arrival time, you may still have the opportunity to get a first impression of this vibrant city. Kuala Lumpur offers a mix of modern architecture, colonial charm and oriental atmospheres. For example, you can visit the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, stroll through colorful Chinatown or simply enjoy the smells and tastes at one of the many night markets.

Day 3 Kuala Lumpur - Malacca

From Kuala Lumpur to historic Malacca
After breakfast, we leave Kuala Lumpur via the toll road and drive out of the city in just 15 minutes. Soon we dive into a hilly and green area, where the first two hours are treated to a beautiful route full of curves and beautiful views. Immediately it is full enjoyment of motorcycling through Malaysian nature.

In the last part of the drive, we take the through road toward our destination: atmospheric Malacca. This ancient trading city is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and breathes history. In the compact center you will find colorful streets, colonial buildings and cozy canals with terraces, restaurants and bars.

We spend the night in a stylish hotel housed in an old industrial building. With its warm appearance, attractive courtyard and delicious breakfast, this is a nice place to recover from a beautiful day of driving.

Day 4 Malacca - Kuala Tanah

From Malacca to the jungle of Taman Negara
We start the day traversing the morning crowds to leave Malacca behind us. But once we leave the city, things calm down and we can tour leisurely. Using winding secondary roads, we drive through beautiful forested countryside. The road winds its way with delightful curves into the green heart of Malaysia.

Later in the day, the landscape changes to a sea of palm trees as we drive through vast palm oil plantations. This is the foreland of one of the oldest rainforests in the world: Taman Negara. This national park of no less than 4,300 km² is home to unusual animal species, dense jungle and rugged nature.

Although we do not go deep into the park, we get a nice impression during a relaxing trip by longtail boat on the river that meanders along the park. We get a taste of the atmosphere of the ancient jungle.

We spend the night in a simple but charming guesthouse, surrounded by greenery - a respite after an adventurous day on the bike.

Day 5 Kuala Tanah - Cameron Highlands

From the jungle to the mountains - on to the Cameron Highlands
After breakfast we get back on the motorcycle. First we ride back a bit on the same road as yesterday, but soon we turn off and dive back into the quiet secondary roads. This time the route takes us to Kuala Tipis, a small town surprisingly famous for its gold. Here it is literally almost on the streets! In this area, one can extract gold from the ground with relatively little effort - a fascinating piece of Malaysian reality. We stop here for a lunch break before starting the next part of the drive.

The road to the Cameron Highlands is truly magnificent. We rise slowly and notice how the landscape changes. The air becomes fresher, the scenery greener and the road more winding. It is enjoying every bend, until we finally turn onto the familiar Road 59. Here it is a little busier with traffic, but the final destination makes up for everything.

Our accommodation is an extraordinary historic English mansion, completely in the style of the colonial past of this region. Each room is uniquely decorated and breathes the atmosphere of days gone by. In the evening, we gather around the fireplace for warm refreshments - the perfect end to an exciting day.

Day 6 Cameron Highlands - Pasir Senor

From the highlands to the river - peace and hospitality at Pasir Senor
After a good breakfast, we leave the Cameron Highlands and drive deeper into the area. As soon as we leave the center, it becomes pleasantly quiet again and we meander on beautiful roads through the hilly and wooded landscape. Along the way we enjoy impressive views, interspersed with vast palm oil plantations that seem to stretch on endlessly.

The route eventually takes us to Pasir Senor, a small, sleepy village where mostly Chinese people live. The pace is clearly a lot slower here, which adds to the charm of this place.

Our accommodation for tonight is right on the Kalantan River. The wooden accommodations are simple but cozy, and air-conditioned - ideal for recovering from a hot day on the bike. There is also a swimming pool for cooling off. Tonight we are treated to a tasty BBQ, complete with campfire, by our hospitable hosts. A cozy, authentic evening in the heart of Malaysia.

Day 7 Pasir Senor - George Town

Along the border and to the island - en route to historic Penang
Today we drive mostly on road number 4, a beautiful route that winds along the border with Thailand. This road guarantees a day full of curves, hilly terrain and beautiful views. The driving here is quiet, with occasional side trips off the main road to take in even more of the scenery via small back roads.

In the last hour, the landscape slowly changes to urban bustle as we cross the bridge that takes us to the island of Penang. The skyline of George Town slowly comes into view - a city full of character and history.

Our overnight stay is special: an 1850s Chinese warehouse in the middle of historic downtown George Town. The building oozes atmosphere and history. Authentic details such as old wooden beams and the original baskets that used to be hoisted up a rope shaft have been preserved. Each room is uniquely decorated, allowing you to sleep not only in comfort, but also in a piece of heritage.

Day 8 George Town - Ipoh

From island to interior - on the way to Ipoh
We leave the island of Penang via the impressive, more than 17-kilometer-long second bridge - a feat of modern infrastructure connecting the island and the mainland. For the first hour we take the highway to smoothly leave the city bustle behind us. Then we turn off and it soon becomes quieter on the road.

The scenery changes again: we dive into a hilly, wooded area where the road treats us to wonderful curves and rustic views. A relaxed ride where motorcycling is pure enjoyment.

The last 25 kilometers we take the main road again, so we quickly reach the center of Ipoh - a city that beautifully combines old and new.

Our hotel is modern and comfortable, with several restaurants and a cozy bar right across the street from the building. The tourist highlights of the city center are also within walking distance. Ideal for those who want to dive into the city in the evening.

Day 9 Ipoh - Kuala lumpur

Last ride - via Frasers Hill back to Kuala Lumpur
Today we drive south on road number 1, which takes us through a rolling, forested landscape. Left and right again we see vast palm oil plantations - a familiar sight on this trip through Malaysia.

Halfway up, we turn off toward Fraser's Hill, a beautiful road full of curves and elevation changes. It is an ideal end to this motorcycle trip: one more time to fully enjoy the steering, the views and the tranquility of nature.

For the last part we choose the highway, so that we drive efficiently back to the center of Kuala Lumpur. There we return the motorcycles and say goodbye to this unforgettable trip.

Day 10 Departure

Return home
After breakfast, we will be taken by cab to Kuala Lumpur airport in about an hour. Here we say goodbye to Malaysia and board the plane to the Netherlands.

A wonderful journey full of curves, mountains, jungle, culture and hospitality comes to an end. But the memories - those we take home with us.
