Day 1 Departure

Today you will leave for Bali to embark on a special motorcycle journey across the islands of Bali, Lombok and Sumbawa. Selamat jalan ( good trip )

Day 2 Arrival Bali Canggu

Upon arrival in Bali, you will be met by your driver and then taken by cab van to the hotel in Canggu. Here you can rest from the trip and possibly take a dip in the hotel pool, with beautiful views of Echo Beach which is within walking distance. The hotel is in the center and has several friendly cafes/restaurants as well as small boutiques nearby.

Day 3 Canggu - Accommodation

Since most flights arrive in the evening, we have an extra day in Canggu to rest from the trip and be well prepared for this motorcycle adventure.

Canggu is a cozy place with mostly relatively young people. Many good restaurant with healthy food or tasty Indonesian.

Beach is within walking distance where it is pleasant all day with surfers and bathers chilling on the beach or the beach bars.

End of the day have a briefing and we will inspect the engines that have since been brought.

Day 4 Canggu - Munduk

After a good night's sleep and breakfast, we get ready for our first ride through the countless rice fields and terraces of this tropical island. Soon we leave the crowds and drive along narrow paths, small villages through the green hilly area of south west Bali. We make a short stop on the beach before driving north. The precursors to the mountains of Bali has many small trails that show us the best of this tropical island.

After a local lunch in Pupuan, we drive further on and off road up the mountains before arriving in Munduk.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains and valley, and with a beer in hand in the infinity pool, it tastes even better.

Day 5 Munduk - Sidemen

After breakfast we will ride back into the mountains towards Buyan Lake, here we will stop briefly to enjoy the view. Then we quickly leave the crowds behind and drive on narrow roads through several villages where locals stare at us to see Western tourists on a motorcycle. Then we start the ascent of Mount Gunung Batur while winding. Before we reach the summit we turn off and ride through forested areas and over narrow paths towards the old volcanic crater where we will conquer the hard black lava sand with our enduros.

For lunch we drive up to the crater rim again and with breathtaking views of both the mountain and Lake Batur and in the background Bali's highest mountain Gunung Agung, we have our meal.

After lunch we get ready for the last part of the day's ride. We will descend in a meandering fashion towards the town of Sidemen which is known for its spectacular rice fields/terraces.

While enjoying a drink on the terrace in front of your cottage, you can relive this day while enjoying the view of the rice fields.

Day 6 Sidemen - Kuta ( Lombok )

Today we leave Bali and cross to Lombok by ferry (about 4 hours). Then, in the afternoon, we will take the inner roads of South Lombok through various kampungs where locals search for gold towards the south coast. Winding roads over the hills of Blongas, Bremi and Pandaleman, overlooking the Indian Ocean, take us to the surfing paradise of Kuta (Lombok) where we spend the night. Kuta is a friendly relaxed place with several small eateries. Kuta beach is within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 7 Kuta - Maluk ( Sumbawa )

Today we continue on a breathtaking coastal road to the east, where salt is traditionally extracted from seawater. Keruak is the center of the region, where people from all over come for the market. We drive north along the coastal road. At Labuhan Lombok we take the ferry (1 hour) to Sumbawa. Leaving the ferry we drive through the Sebunyil hills to South Sumbawa, where the town of Maluk is located. Maluk has hardly any tourism, except for a few surfers, so here you will experience the pure Sumbawa.

Day 8 Maluk - Sumbawa Besar

Today we drive the southwestern part of the island. Asphalting has been busy here for several years and there is now a generally beautiful winding road through wooded and mountainous areas. We will make a few turns to ride unpaved for a short while through the few villages that are here and also head towards the beach to enjoy the rough sea.

Of course we have a simple but delicious local lunch along the way, after all Indonesians know how to handle spices.

Then we drive north on the main road. Despite being a main road, there is little traffic. Also, the asphalt is of poor quality, so you are sometimes driving more off than on road.

We spent the night in the capital called Sumbawa Besar. Good hotel with western standards, fine beds and air conditioning.

For dinner we are going to go into town where we are going to make a kind of homemade buffet. We are going to take many different dishes that we are all going to devour together so you will taste many different flavors. With a beer, of course.

Day 9 Sumbawa Besar - Bima

A long trip in miles is planned for today. The route in the morning goes along the azure coast with the island of Moyo in the background. Driving through several villages, on well-paved roads with many nice curves, we will first climb the Doro Wero mountain pass in the afternoon before arriving in Bima via Dompu. We spend the night in the middle of Bima, opposite the local covered market.

Day 10 Bima - Labuhan Bajo ( Flores )

Today the alarm clock rings at 5 a.m. and at 6 a.m., when the sun is just rising, we are already on our bikes to go through the Doro Daria mountain pass in the direction of Sape, where we take the ferry early in the morning to make the crossing to Flores. In Labuan Bajo we overnight in a well-kept hotel, on the slope, overlooking the Flores sea. In the center we can enjoy a drink and/or meal, overlooking the harbor with the many sailboats anchored.

Day 11 Labuhan Bajo - Stay ( komodo tour )

This day will be very special because we will visit the island of Rinca by boat, type of boat depends on the size of the group. On this island you can take a hike with a breathtaking view of Flores, see the buffalo still living in the wild and also the Komodo dragons. On the return trip we will also have time to snorkel. The Komodo archipelago falls under UNESCO, as the underwater world of this national park has unique fish species

Day 12 Labuhan Bajo - Bajawa

After breakfast, we grab the bikes again and, for the whole of today's stage, enjoy climbs of various mountains and hills. The area we ride through is very green, quiet and one curve follows another. After lunch in Ruteng we ride, via the mountains Ranaka, Leda, Lobobutu and the Sawu sea, to Bajawa.

Day 13 Bajawa - Moni

In the morning we first visit the traditional Ngada village. Then we drive further first over several mountains and in the afternoon the coastal road towards Ende to go back into the mountains and end up in the small town of Moni. Nearby are the 3 color lakes of Kelimutu.

Day 14 Moni - riung

If you want to see the 3 color lakes with sunrise, you have to get up at 3:30 a.m. and ride the 12-kilometer mountain road by motorcycle in the dark! After that, you have to hike for about 30 minutes, to finally arrive at 1640 meters and enjoy the sunrise and the 3 lakes with its own colors. After breakfast, we will drive to Riung, which is located in the north. This part has a different landscape and is arid especially in the dry season. The middle part of this day is unpaved and far from civilization.

Day 15 Riung - Stay ( 17 Islands tour )

We stayed an extra day in Riung to take a fishing boat to admire the 17 Islands Marine Park. This protected area is unknown to tourists and very quiet. We will snorkel in several places and at lunch we will eat BBQ fish on one of the tropical uninhabited islands.

Day 16 Riung - Ruteng

Using the northern coastal road, much of which is still unpaved, we ride all alone through the fascinating landscape of North Flores. Sporadically we drive through a remote village where locals will stare at us as foreigners with motorcycles pass by. The last two hours of the route the road is paved and mountainous with breathtaking rice terraces that this region, called Manggarai, is rich in.

Day 17 Ruteng - Labuhan Bajo

After 20 kilometers we turn off the main road and go all the way inland to Labuhan Bajo. There are no tourists here at all and the locals stand around looking surprised as we drive by. A nice on and off road takes us just before LB and then turn back onto the main road to drive the last 10 kilometers to the hotel.

Day 18 Labuhan Bajo - Bima

The ferry goes to Bima in the morning and in the afternoon we drive through mountainous terrain to Bima where we spend the night. The hotel is on the outskirts of town with a rooftop pool.

Day 19 Bima - Sumbawa Besar

We leave Bima and already after less than one hour of driving we turn off to explore the Kilo area. Driving along the coast, the road soon becomes a dirt road and later no more than a path. We drive into several villages, where the locals will look at us with open mouths and the children wave enthusiastically at us. In the afternoon we drive again on a well-paved coastal road to Sumbawa Besar.

Day 20 Sumbawa Besar - Bayan ( Lombok )

After three hours of coastal road, we take the ferry to Lombok. Then we drive on the northern coastal road of this island. There is very little traffic in this part, so you can fully enjoy the scenery with Mount Gunung Rinjani in the background and the azure sea on the other side. We spend the night in Bayan, 600 meters against Mount Rinjani and overlooking the coastline, Here we sleep in a wooden cottage with a thatched roof, among the rice terraces. A naturally landscaped pool gives you direct views of the surroundings and the restaurant. Delicious Indonesian or western food.

Day 21 Bayan - Stay ( waterfall tour )

Today a free day to relax, hike in the area to the Rinjani waterfalls or swim in the accommodation's naturally landscaped pool.

Day 22 Bayan - Sanur ( Bali )

We drive further down the coastal road, heading south. Our last drive on Lombok is along small roads to the port where we ferry back to Bali. After the ferry ride towards evening, we drive straight to our hotel in Sanur.

Day 23 Sanur - Departure

The last day in Bali to relax by the hotel pool or by the sea with its white sandy beaches and high waves, which is ideal for the many surfers who come here. In the evening you will depart for the airport.
